Annapolis, MD ( December 17, 2021) - The Department of Aging and Disabilities is pleased to announce several upcoming Caregiver Educational Workshops for January 2022.
On January 12th at 6:30 pm, Beth Mucciacciaro, R.N., Case Manager/Grief Counselor, will present “Can I Grieve if Nobody Dies?” Loss can be felt like a single droplet that falls in the calm waters of your life. Like the tears you cry, more droplets may fall after the first. Some days just a single drop. And others, a deluge. Join us as Beth shares how you can come to terms with loss so that you can move forward with your life. This workshop will be presented via the Zoom platform. On January 18th at 2:00 pm, Mary Chaput, Family Caregiver Support Program Director, will facilitate the Virtual Dementia Live® Program. This workshop will be held via the Zoom platform. On January 25th at 6:30, the workshop will be presented in-person at the North County/Hein office (7320 Ritchie Highway, Glen Burnie). The Dementia Live® workshop is a high impact, dementia simulation experience that immerses participants into life with dementia, resulting in a deeper understanding of what it is like to live with cognitive impairment and sensory changes. The workshops are presented at no cost to the public by the National Family Caregiver Support Program of the Anne Arundel County Department of Aging and Disabilities.
