The Department of Aging and Disabilities Announces Family Caregiver Support Groups for November

Annapolis, MD (October 20, 2021) - The Department of Aging and Disabilities is pleased to announce upcoming Family Caregiver Support Groups for November.

November virtual family caregiver support groups will be held via the Zoom platform. Participants will be able to log-in through a computer or listen by phone.

Virtual support groups will meet November 10th (1:00-2:30 pm) and November 16th (1:00-2:30 pm). To receive the Zoom sign-in information, please email agchap01@aacounty.org or call 410-222-4339.

While we plan to meet in person soon, we hope that the virtual format provides family caregivers with support and connection to one another. We realize this is a challenging time for all of us, especially caregivers. We hope you will join us.

Family caregivers, living in or caring for someone in Anne Arundel County, are also invited to join our Facebook Support Group page. This provides you the opportunity to connect with one another, share your concerns and your experiences and hopefully a laugh in between meeting times.

For those who are unable to attend the daytime meetings due to work schedules or other commitments, this format provides an opportunity to connect, share and support other caregivers. The group can be found on Facebook.com/ArundelSeniors.

Anyone needing accommodations must contact Mary Chaput at 410-222-4339, or by email at agchap01@aacounty.org at least seven days in advance of the event. TTY users, please call via Maryland Relay 7-1-1. All materials are available in an alternative format upon request.
