May is Older Americans Month. While we could not celebrate it, as usual, we still encourage individuals and communities to reflect on the countless contributions that older adults make to our lives and nation. This year's theme, "Make Your Mark," highlights the difference everyone can make – in the lives of older adults, in support of caregivers, and to strengthen communities.
As we wrap up Older Americans Month, we are celebrating the fastest growing population in the United States by presenting to you a video compilation of contributions from our Department of Aging and Disabilities staff, our Area Agency on Aging Advisory Council members, and our USNA Midshipmen Action Group. These contributions express gratitude and appreciation for someone in their lives who have ‘made their mark’.
“I commend the staff and our community partners for celebrating Older Americans Month in a beautiful, virtual tribute to those who have touched their lives and have ‘made their mark’,” said Pam Jordan, director of the Department of Aging and Disabilities.
