BGE is pleased to announce its online streetlight outage reporting tool that not only makes reporting easier but also provides more information back to the user. Users are now able to search for streetlights by going to this LINK.
The outage map will allow searching on an address or work order number. The map will show what streetlights are working, those that have had a problem already reported, and those that aren’t maintained by BGE (e.g. private area lighting).
Clicking on a light that is inoperable will allow the user to report the outage. The user may then enter their contact information, receive a confirmation, and even sign up to receive updates on the status of repairs including diagnosis and estimated restoration time.
