If you have or know someone who has experienced a mental health event and/or illness, you understand the separation that is happening between body and mind. Having compassionate people who understand this, who can recognize it and help the patient get the help they need is critical. Connecting someone in the throes of a mental health crisis to mental health care, can be lifesaving.
