DPW Maintenance Building Demolition
Demolition of our traffic maintenance shop on Broadneck Road in Arnold has begun. The shop was burned in a fire earlier in 2024. The work, which includes debris cleanup, will run through mid-December, with a break for the Thanksgiving holiday.
While I’m happy to see this building finally coming down because of the aesthetics of it, I’m incredibly relieved for the employees. The burned out building has been a daily reminder of lost personal items and the beginning of their temporary work space. Having this building come down marks the start of rebuilding for them. The employees who work in this shop, take such pride in what they do for our county. They should.
