Due to the overwhelming response from dozens of small businesses who use these machines to provide for their families and the families of their employees, as well as feedback from private property owners, the sponsor has announced the bill will be withdrawn during our work session on Tuesday, September 10th.
This was announced at the conclusion of an in-person town hall meeting with stakeholders.
According to the sponsor there will be another bill in the future.
Stay informed and involved because advocacy does work.
This would not have been possible without local small businesses spreading the word, emailing dozens of emails to the council, and the joint Chambers of Commerce organizing the town hall on behalf of their members.
