This month, I presented a citation to the owner and partners of JBs Severna Park, a day that, at times, felt like it would never happen.
JBs began renovations of the old Bill Bateman's location just as the pandemic hit our area and closures brought everything to a screeching halt.
Owner, Don Kelly and I would talk numerous times in the past year. Everything from assistance with outdoor dining tent permits to concerns over his employees paying their bills and yes, that major renovation that came to a standstill.
I was absolutely thrilled to be able to attend JB's ribbon cutting and grand opening, and see the vision of bringing a sports restaurant back to Severna Park.
JB's welcomes families, including kids in cleats right off of the field, to stop in and have a bite while watching a game on one of their 64 televisions!
No fuss, no muss, just a great meal in an atmosphere that celebrates our local athletic teams and service members.
