I had the pleasure of attending the Fifty-First Annual Awards Banquet for the Odenton Volunteer Fire Company.
Congratulations to all of the volunteers recognized, President Craig Harman, Chief Rob Loughery and the entire volunteer company!
An added bonus was meeting some new constituents from the Gambrills area, who will soon be a part of the 5th District.
OVFC responded to 5,949 calls for help in 2021, and to do this our volunteers spent nearly 32,000 hours on duty answering those calls. Our 2021 top responders were: Toni Sanger, 229 ambulance calls; John Kraft, 460 fire/truck calls; Kevon Williams 483 combination calls – ambulance and fire/truck calls. Additionally, 20 OVFC members were recognized by national, state, and local organizations for their outstanding contributions and exemplary performance.
