The Anne Arundel County Executive’s Civic Engagement Awards recognize individuals who have made a significant contribution, through volunteer service on one of the County’s 60 boards and commissions, toward promoting the health, wellness, safety, education and/or prosperity of ALL people who call Anne Arundel County home.
Nominations can be submitted by any member of a board or commission as well as any county employee that works with a board or commission. Nominations are being accepted for the following awards:
- Outstanding Volunteer Service Award
This award recognizes an individual who has strengthened the board/commission’s ability to fulfill its mission or planned an initiative that resulted in a tangible positive impact on County residents. - Outstanding Public Service Award
This award recognizes an ex-officio or staff member whose service has gone above and beyond the call of duty to a county Board or Commission. - County Executive’s Good Steward Award
This award recognizes a Chair who has demonstrated outstanding leadership and consistent stewardship of our public resources while advocating for community needs.
Recipients of the following awards will be selected from those nominated in the categories above:
- County Executive’s Distinguished Service Award
- Community Partnership Award
- Emerging Leader Award
