Annapolis, MD (January 7, 2025) – Due to inclement weather, all Anne Arundel County government offices will delay the start of operations until 10:00 am on Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2025. County officials will continue to monitor conditions this morning and update status if necessary.
Telework eligible employees should continue to work remotely. Emergency and essential employees must report for work at their usual times. County buildings will remain closed to the general public until 10:00 am.
Liberal leave and telework policies for county employees are also in effect today. Liberal leave allows employees to use unscheduled annual leave with the approval of their supervisor.
Emergency and essential employees must report as scheduled.
Regional parks will open at 10 a.m. with limited capacity. All park programming for the day is canceled. Recreation and Parks Childcare Centers will be closed.
Curbside collection for Monday will be collected today. Tuesday collection will occur on Wednesday.
Per department policy, when Anne Arundel County Public Schools are delayed or closed due to inclement weather, all senior activity centers will also be delayed or closed. All senior activity centers will also be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2025. Lunch will not be served at any senior activity center or congregate site. Senior Center Plus is canceled as well.
Anne Arundel County Office of Transportation services will be focused on fixed routes and dialysis services only. All medical and senior center transportation will be suspended for the day.
Anne Arundel Public Library will also be closed today.
