Annapolis, MD (March 20, 2025) – On Wednesday, March 19, 2025, County Executive Steuart Pittman, in partnership with the Caucus of African American Leaders, honored local residents during the annual 'Few of the Many' Awards.
The event was held on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Maryland Hall. The program featured compelling monologues celebrating historical figures who embody this year’s theme, “African Americans and Labor,” performed by William Rowel. The event also included a musical selection by Keanuú Smith-Brown and a keynote address by Maryland Secretary of Service and Civic Innovation Paul Monteiro.

The County Executive's Office and the Caucus of African American Leaders have partnered since 2019 to honor the work of over 100 African American leaders in Anne Arundel County. These honorees represent a wide range of fields, from healthcare and social activism to faith, music, law, philanthropy, the judiciary, and elected office.
