County Executive Pittman Issues Statement on Supreme Court’s EPA Ruling, County’s Fleet Electrification Efforts

Annapolis, MD (June 30, 2022) - Anne Arundel County Executive Steuart Pittman issued the following statement on the Supreme Court’s decision to limit the EPA’s ability to address climate change, and on Anne Arundel County’s move toward an electric County fleet:

“On the same day the Supreme Court limited the federal government's ability to address climate change, we showed how local government can continue responding.

Two years ago, I promised Anne Arundel County would electrify its fleet within 15 years. Today, we took an important step in that process, debuting the County's first electric vehicles. Take a look:
