HERoes on the HERizon Camp

HERoes on the HERizon is a free week-long summer camp program designed to empower young women in high school and college to explore careers in emergency management and public safety.

This unique program offers participants the opportunity to engage in hands-on activities, interactive workshops, and field trips led by industry professionals. During the camp, participants will learn about emergency preparedness, leadership skills, crisis communication, life-saving skills such as CPR, and so much more. Public safety partners from across the state will join us to discuss career opportunities through live demonstrations and activities. Campers will also get to meet professionals in the field and gain valuable insights into the importance of diversity and inclusion in public safety.
