Fatal Residential Fire Hickory Point Road, Pasadena, Md.

Today, March 25, 2025, at approximately 12:26 a.m., we received a 911 call from a BGE Contractor working in the area of Hickory Point Road in Pasadena advising that a home was on fire. Fire department units arrived at 192 Hickory Point Road, Pasadena, Maryland, approximately four minutes after being dispatched and reported that the front of the home had significant fire showing from the first floor. Firefighters entered the house and were able to put the fire under control in approximately 30 minutes. Firefighters also conducted searches of the house, where they discovered one adult male deceased in the area of the home near where fire investigators believe the fire started.

Anne Arundel County Fire Investigators responded to the scene and are looking into the origin and cause of the fire. At this time, the cause is listed as undetermined. Smoke detectors were in the home and working.

The only sole occupant, later identified as Stephen Geisendaffer Sr., D.O.B 12/05/1962 (62 years old), was pronounced dead at the scene.

This is the third fire fatality in Anne Arundel County in 2025. The other two deaths were from the fire on February 20, 2025, which was determined to be accidental in nature.
