Mark Wedemeyer, Acting Director of the Department of Inspections and Permits, appointed Andrew McCarra as Acting Assistant Director with the department.
McCarra joined the Department of Inspections and Permits in 2018 as a Plan Reviewer. He was promoted to Engineering Manager of building plan review prior to being named Acting Assistant Director.
McCarra is a licensed Professional Engineer in Maryland. He graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park with a Bachelor of Science in Fire Protection Engineering.
