Annapolis, Md. (January 8, 2021) Anne Arundel County Executive Steuart Pittman announced today that Community Support Grants are now available for eligible non-profit organizations. The community grant program offers funding support for non-profit organizations that provide vital services to county residents. The application period for FY 2022 funding opens today.
Priority consideration will be given to applicants engaged in the following activities:
- responding directly to a COVID-19 safety net need in the community and/or addressing a gap in nonprofit revenues due to COVID-19;
- making services available to underserved populations;
- addressing the health and well-being of communities;
- promoting equity and inclusion.
“COVID-19 has impacted both county residents directly and the non-profit organizations that serve them,” said County Executive Steuart Pittman. “By prioritizing those programs which provide safety net services, we know the funds will meet the needs of residents hardest hit by the pandemic.”
Applications are due February 19, 2021 by 6:00 p.m. If awarded, funds will be made available on or around July 1, 2021 pending FY 2022 Budget approval by the County Council. The County Executive will submit his proposed budget on May 1, 2021. The amount of funding available is expected to be similar to FY 2021. Last year, 26 organizations were awarded a total of $669,300.
Arundel Community Development Services, Inc. (ACDS) will oversee the grant process for the county.
