Contact Shooting - Laurel

Detectives assigned to the Western District are investigating a contact shooting that occurred on May 10th in Laurel. Officers were called at approximately 9:50 p.m. to a residence in the 200 block of Sweetbay Lane. Upon arrival, they discovered a 27-year-old male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Officers provided medical assistance until the victim was transported with life-threatening injuries to the University of Maryland R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center for treatment. The initial investigation revealed that an unknown suspect(s) entered the residence and shot the victim.
