Northern District

Shooting - Pasadena

On May 13, 2024, at approximately 1:50 a.m., officers responded to a residence in the 7800 block of Levy Court for a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located a 39-year-old male victim who was bleeding from his head. Officers rendered medical aid to the victim until he was transported by fire department personnel to Johns Hopkins Bayview Hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening injury. The investigation revealed that the victim was in an altercation with a male outside the residence when the other male withdrew a handgun and fired several rounds. The suspect fled, and the victim ran into his residence. The victim told officers he did not believe he was struck by any of the fired projectiles. The suspect was described by witnesses as a black male wearing a green shirt. Officers located several shell casings at the scene. The Northern District Detective Unit is investigating and asks anyone with information to call 410-222-6135 or the Anne Arundel County Police Tip Line at 410-222-4700. 


Western District

Robbery (Citizen) - Laurel

On May 12, 2024, at approximately 10:50 p.m., officers responded for a robbery of a citizen in the 3400 block of Laurel Fort Meade Road in Laurel. The investigation revealed that the 45-year-old male victim was walking in the area of Laurel Fort Meade Road and Old Annapolis Road when he was approached by seven black male suspects. One of the males held a knife to the victim’s abdomen and demanded his wallet. The victim complied and was struck once in the face by one of the suspects, who then fled. Officers searched the area but did not locate any of the suspects. Western District detectives are investigating and ask anyone with information to call 410-222-6155 or the Tip Line at 410-222-4700. 


Eastern District

Serious Injury Crash - Arnold

On May 12, 2024, at approximately 12:05 a.m., officers responded to a single-vehicle crash on Shore Acres Road near Dunberry Drive in Arnold. The investigation revealed that a 2009 Toyota Camry was traveling northeast on Shore Acres Road when the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to leave the roadway, rotate, and strike a wooden fence and a tree.

The Toyota was occupied by two 16-year-old males. Both were transported by the Anne Arundel County Fire Department to the R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore due to their injuries.

The Traffic Safety Section is investigating this crash.
