Tiyana Parker
Community Engagement Officer - Regional Areas 4, 6, 7

Tiyana Parker is a proud Anne Arundel County native and received her early education through Anne Arundel County Public Schools. In 2009, Tiyana graduated from Howard University with a Bachelor's Degree concentrating in Communications, Public Relations, and Psychology. Before joining the County Executive’s Office as a Community Engagement Officer, Tiyana served as the Chief of Staff for Maryland State Delegate Shaneka Henson. In this role, she assisted the delegate with legislation-related activities. She also connected many residents to local, state, and national resources, including eviction prevention assistance, food distribution sites, low-cost/no-cost health care, legal aid, job training, and so much more.

Tiyana is a member of Leadership Anne Arundel, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc, and a proud recipient of the 2022 “The Few of the Many” Sojourner Truth Award presented by County Executive Steuart Pittman and The Caucus of African American leaders. In her free time, Tiyana enjoys volunteering in the community to spearhead college tours for youth, volunteer at food drives, and organize community clean-ups and resource giveaways.
