Western District
Contact Shooting - Severn

On May 31, 2024, at approximately 5:22 a.m., officers responded to a contact shooting that reportedly occurred in the area of Annapolis Road and Disney Road in Severn. Officers spoke with the 49-year-old male victim who indicated he was walking in the area when a sedan drove past him. He reported hearing gunshots and later realized he had been shot.
The crime scene has not been located and there is no suspect information at this time. Western District detectives are investigating the incident. The victim was transported precautionary to Shock Trauma with a non-life-threatening wound to his leg. Northern District
CDS Violation / Search Warrant - Glen Burnie

On May 30, 2024, at 12:50 pm., detectives assigned to the Northern District were in the area of Southbridge Drive and South Hampton Road looking for a subject that had an open warrant for drug and handgun charges. Detectives located the subject in a vehicle on Southbridge Drive. The subject was placed under arrest for the warrant. During a search incident to arrest, detectives located suspected “crack” cocaine (8 baggies) on the suspect along with U.S. currency. The female operator was searched, and detectives recovered bags of suspected “crack” cocaine and she was placed under arrest.
Probable cause was developed, and detectives completed a search warrant of a residence on Southbridge Drive. During a search of the residence, detectives recovered the following evidence:
Black, Glock, Model 19, 9mm, semi-auto handgun
Chrome, Ruger, 38 Special revolver
Black, Davis Industries, Model P380, .380 caliber, semi-auto handgun
87.21 grams of “crack” cocaine
20.68 grams of powder cocaine
30.75 grams of MDMA
1.62 grams of Clonazepam
$8,845.00 U.S. Currency
