CDS Violation - Glen Burnie

On May 31, 2024, at approximately 1:40 p.m., officers responded to La Quinta Inn in Glen Burnie for an unwanted person. Officers made contact with the subject and observed evidence of drug distribution activity within a room. The investigation led to the execution of a search warrant, resulting in the seizure of the following pieces of evidence:
Two digital scales with suspected CDS residue
Approximately 17.46 grams of suspected cocaine
Approximately 33 grams of suspected PCP
Approximately 48.56 grams of suspected crack cocaine
Approximately 4.54 grams of suspected heroin/fentanyl
CDS packaging paraphernalia
The suspect was arrested and charged accordingly.

Commercial Robbery - Glen Burnie

On June 1, 2024 at approximately 1:45 p.m., officers responded to the AAA Tobacco located at 30 E Ordnance in Glen Burnie for a commercial robbery. An employee advised five males entered the business and immediately got behind the counter and took various CBD/THC vape cartridges. The employee attempted to intervene and was assaulted. The employee refused medical treatment. The employee advised one of the males implied he had a handgun, however no weapon was displayed. Stolen property from the incident was located in the area. Two suspects, one of whom was a juvenile were apprehended after a brief foot chase, were positively identified and charged accordingly. The three other suspects were not located. Shooting (Non-Contact) - Annapolis

On May 31, 2024, at approximately 2:20 p.m., officers responded to the 1600 block of Saint Margarets Road in Annapolis for a shots fired call. The complainant stated at approximately 2:30 a.m., they heard three gunshots and a vehicle leaving the area. Officers canvassed the area and located two spent shell casings. There were no reports of property damage or physical injuries.. Attempted Carjacking - Severn

On June 1, 2024, at approximately 12:50 p.m., officers responded to the 8200 block of Marlton Court in Severn for an attempted theft from a vehicle. Through investigation, it was determined that a 47-year-old male was delivering packages when approximately ten black male juveniles surrounded his vehicle, a 2020 Dodge Transit, and attempted to open his door. A physical altercation ensued between some of the juveniles and the victim while the other juveniles opened the rear of the truck where the packages were stored. At this time, it is unknown if any packages were stolen. Armed Citizen Robbery - Laurel

On June 1, 2024, at approximately 1:15 p.m., officers received a walk-in complaint at the Western District Police Station in Odenton of an armed citizen robbery. The victim stated at approximately 5:15 a.m., he withdrew money from the Navy Federal ATM located at 3470 Laurel Fort Meade Road in Laurel when two Hispanic males approached him. One of the males pointed a handgun at him and demanded his wallet and cash. The victim complied and the suspects fled in an unknown direction.
