For more than 15 years, Jennifer Rogers (She/Her) has been a business leader, entrepreneur, creative and community advocate. Most recently, Jennifer managed the campaign for a Howard County Council race where she built the community outreach, day-to-day operations, and strategic planning for the campaign.
Prior to this she was the brewer and owner of Brawling Bear Brewing where she again integrated her business with community advocacy. Before launching Brawling Bear, she was an executive for more than nine years at Rockville-based Mayorga Organics. Driven by her commitment to excellence, she prides herself in working collaboratively with others to find solutions in all aspects of business to lift others up while working to continuously improve the efficiency of the operations around her, and significantly, to make her businesses good community citizens.
As a creative consultant, Jennifer has designed design logos, websites, and other graphics for small businesses and non-profits like Calvert Family Advocates, the MASSB Foundation, and The Law Office of Renée J. Gentry, Esq., as well as national organizations like the US Court of Federal Claims Bar Association.
When Jennifer isn’t sewing or painting, you will find her hiking throughout Maryland with her husband, who is also an engaged community advocate, and ten-year old twins. Originally from Illinois, Jennifer has been a resident of Maryland for more than 20 years and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English and Scandinavian Studies from Augustana College in Rock Island, IL.
