Fatal Crash - Brooklyn Park

On June 26, 2024, at 12:30 a.m., officers assigned to the Northern District encountered a single-vehicle crash in the 4200 block of Ritchie Highway in Brooklyn Park, MD. The investigation would reveal that a 2011 Infiniti G37 was traveling north on Ritchie Highway when the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to cross the raised center median and the southbound travel lanes. The Infiniti left the roadway and struck a tree.
The Infiniti driver was pronounced deceased at the scene by Anne Arundel County Fire Department personnel. The Anne Arundel County Fire Department transported a passenger to the R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore with life-threatening injuries.
The Traffic Safety Section is investigating this crash.

Robbery (Citizen) - Glen Burnie

On July 25, 2024, at approximately 7:30 p.m., officers were dispatched for a report of a citizen robbery that occurred at approximately 5:00 a.m. the same day. The 33-year-old male victim had made a cash withdrawal at the Truist Bank ATM and was leaving the parking lot in his vehicle when he was confronted by two males armed with handguns. The males demanded cash, and the victim complied. The suspects fled on foot.
