Anne Arundel County Announces Closure of County Buildings on July 4 and 5

County buildings and offices are closed in observance of Independence Day; emergency and essential employees are required to report; Permitting center closed; No curbside collection will occur

Annapolis, MD (July 2, 2024) All Anne Arundel County government buildings will be closed on July 4 and 5, 2024, in observance of Independence Day. 

County buildings and offices, including all recreational centers, the Arundel Center, and Permitting Center, are closed. Emergency and essential employees are required to report.

All senior activity centers will also be closed on July 4 and 5. Lunch will not be served at any senior activity center. Congregate sites will receive lunch on Friday. All virtual classes and Senior Center Plus are canceled as well. Transportation to senior activity centers will not occur. 

All Department of Recreation and Parks regional and community parks are open for normal operations on July 4 and 5. Aquatic Centers are closed on July 4, and will be open for normal business hours on July 5.

Waste Management facilities will be closed on July 4, and curbside collection will not occur. Facilities will reopen on Friday, July 5, and curbside collection will be provided to Thursday customers. Curbside collection for Friday customers will occur on Saturday, July 6.
