On July 18, 2024, at approximately 3:00 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a white KIA K5 on Ritchie Highway near West Campus Drive. The driver, who had an open arrest warrant, attempted to flee on foot. After a short foot pursuit, the officer apprehended the driver, who was in possession of a loaded 9mm Glock handgun. The driver was arrested and charged.
