This tour will be held at the site of the Crofton Golf (Beaver Creek) Stream Restoration - Phase I. This is the first of a multi-phase restoration effort estimated to span approximately 4,500 linear feet. Construction of this section was just completed over the summer, so this will be a unique opportunity to see a restoration site in its infancy! In a few months, we anticipate this site maturing into a heavily vegetated wetland complex and the structures will be much harder to see.
The maximum group size is 20 people, so reserve your spot now! If you miss this tour, then have no fear - follow @aawatershedbureau on Facebook and Instagram, along with the County Events calendar, and stay tuned for more "Watershed Walks" coming soon.
Preparing for the Event (after you've registered):
- All participants must complete BWPR’s Liability Waiver & Photo Release Google Form
- Bring your binoculars and download a free bird identification app (e.g. Merlin by Cornell Lab) to follow along and track the birds we see!
- The event will include walking along uneven (and potentially muddy) terrain, so be prepared with water-resistant, closed-toed shoes!
Learn More about the Project:
