Curbside Collection Update - September 5, 2024

County Works with Local Companies to Schedule “Make Up” Recycling Collection Day and Resume Recycling Collections for Service Areas 5, 8, and 15 for Week of September 9

Affected Customers asked to put out trash, recycling, and yard waste on their normal collection day next week and leave it curbside until collected. 

Annapolis, Maryland (September 5, 2024) – Gunther Refuse Service, Inc. and MBG Refuse Service will provide “make up” recycling collections for this week’s Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday customers in affected areas this coming Saturday, September 7. Yard waste collections will be completed on Saturday as resources allow. 

Residents can identify their Service Area by visiting the Find My Collection Day and entering their address. 

“We are so grateful that these local businesses and their employee teams have stepped in to help their neighbors during this situation,” said DPW Director Karen Henry. “We appreciate the patience and flexibility of all of our customers as we work to resume curbside collection services in affected communities.” 

Beginning on Monday, September 9, crews from Gunther and MBG will continue to collect trash on customers’ normal collection day, and recycling and yard waste will be collected within two days of your normal collection day. Customers should put out trash, recycling, and yard waste on their normal collection day and leave it curbside until collected.
