Campfire Chats at Fort Smallwood Park

Ever wondered what it’s like to spend your days crabbing on the Chesapeake Bay? Join us on Saturday for a captivating evening campfire at Fort Smallwood Park, hosted by seasoned waterman and Captain of the F/V Miss Paula, CJ Canby. Gain insight into the daily challenges, the relentless hard work, and the passion required to make a living on these historic waters. Balancing tradition, survival, and conservation, CJ will share how he navigates life on the Bay.
 
Bring a portable camp chair and share s’mores and stories by the fire, or sit back, relax and enjoy the evening. A $5.00 registration fee covers program costs. S’mores supplies will be provided.
