Boys and Girls Clubs of Annapolis & Anne Arundel County

For 35 years, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Annapolis & Anne Arundel County (BGCAA) has filled the gap between school and home, serving more than 3,500 young people each year through membership and community outreach. BGCAA is dedicated to ensuring that the community's youth and teens have greater access to quality programs and services that will enhance and shape their futures. Their mission is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us the most, to reach their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens.

BGCAA's seven Clubhouses are strategically located inside or near communities with a significant concentration of poverty, including Low/Moderate Income and Subsidized Housing Communities. Many of our members come from under-resourced communities where they face obstacles that others do not.

Each Club provides youth ages 6 to 18 with welcoming, positive environments in which they have fun, participate in life-changing programs, and build supportive relationships with peers and caring adults. Our Club on the Go mobile program serves areas of the county that do not currently have a physical Club.

BGCAA provides out-of-school time programming to youth ages 6-18 in Annapolis and Anne Arundel County. Clubs are open from 2:00 - 7:00 pm on school days, and from 9:00 to 5:00 on selected school holidays. The annual membership fee is just $25.00, and no child is ever turned away due to inability to pay the fee. To enroll, visit https://www.bgcaa.org/join-a-club

“We know that to help our young people become well-rounded and resilient, we must address their emotional and mental well-being. That’s why we’ve expanded our programs to include social and emotional support, with a focus on trauma-informed practices. Through comprehensive training, our staff are better equipped to navigate the challenges our members face, helping them manage stress, build healthy relationships, and develop resilience.”

BGCAA, in partnership with the Chaney Cares Foundation, is preparing to build a new Clubhouse in Lothian, allowing us to serve more youth in the South County area.
