Fatal Pedestrian Crash

On April 24, 2025, at approximately 6:10 p.m., officers responded to Catherine Avenue near 231st Street for a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle. The preliminary investigation found that a Nissan Altima was traveling southbound on Catherine Avenue when a pedestrian stepped off the sidewalk into the travel lane and was struck by the Nissan. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
The pedestrian was transported to the University of Maryland R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center, where she was pronounced deceased on April 25, 2025.
The crash is under investigation by the Anne Arundel County Police Crash Reconstruction Team.

Fatal Pedestrian Related Crash - Severn

On April 25, 2025, at approximately 2:40 a.m., officers responded to a pedestrian-related motor vehicle crash in Severn. The preliminary investigation revealed that a Honda Civic was traveling southbound on Telegraph Road near Donaldson Avenue when it struck a pedestrian who was sitting in the southbound travel lanes of Telegraph Road. The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the Honda remained at the scene and was cooperative with investigators.
The crash is under investigation by the Anne Arundel County Police Crash Reconstruction Team.
