I spent the evening at the Eastern District Police Station, first for a community planning meeting and then for the monthly Police Community Relations Committee meeting.
It's so good to be back in person, with our Eastern District leadership and officers.
At each meeting they share information on recent arrests, including pictures of their work, like confiscated illegal firearms, and outreach with residents in the community, including sweet intersections with kids in their communities. They answer questions and hear any concerns.
I always leave these meetings with so much appreciation for the work that our police officers do, and pride over how well they do it.
Any member of the community is welcome to the Eastern District Police Community Relations Committee.
The PCRC will be on a summer break until September.
