It's about quality of life. It's about being able to access our homes and our family's.
Like so many of you weekend traffic impacted our family. It's a regular reminder of how the infrastructure (local roads) approaching the bay bridge is impacted by bridge backups.
We've seen hours long back ups recently when there has been no incident on the bridge or weather preventing contraflow, but an incident on the approaching lanes on one of the shores.
On June 7, I introduced Resolution 32-21 opposing the final environmental impact statement and decision location of the 3rd span without conducting a more thorough study with a broader purpose and need statement.
The bridge study was flawed and needs to be redone.

The article that ran in the Capital on June 12, had an error regarding my proposed resolution.
The original article stated that Resolution 32-21 asks that the Bay Bridge study be abandoned. That is NOT the case. Please see the updated version of the article, with the last paragraph corrected.
