You speak.... your Councilwoman, Recreation and Parks listen!

Rec & Parks Listening

The Anne Arundel County Department of Recreations and Parks, along with County Council members, invite you to participate in a virtual Town Hall - Listening Session for the Land Preservation Parks and Recreation Plan (LPPRP).

Anne Arundel County is updating its LPPRP to serve as a guide for land conservation and parks and recreation planning, park development, program improvements, and decision making. The “Town Hall” sessions will offer the Department an opportunity to further collect and evaluate information to better serve the public. The planned listening sessions are the second step in the Department’s outreach to the public for input to the Plan.

The Department wants to hear your ideas and with its planning consultant will present the LPPRP, its purpose, and discuss the schedule for completing the 2022 update. A map of your District showing Recreation and Parks facilities will be presented. Following any comments which you may wish to make, registered public speakers will have two minutes each to offer their thoughts on our parks.

Special thanks to Megan Chido and the many helpful folks at Recreation & Parks for organizing this town hall listening opportunity.
