Carjacking - Glen Burnie

On March 18, 2023, at approximately 1:30 p.m., officers responded for a carjacking in the 100 block of Crain Highway in Glen Burnie. When officers arrived, the victim stated that as she was entering her 2015 Kia sedan, a black male opened her car door and demanded her car keys. The victim refused, and was assaulted, then physically pulled from her vehicle. Both suspects got into the vehicle and drove away towards Crain Highway. The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

On March 18, 2023, at approximately 6:15 p.m., officers responded for a report of a carjacking that just occurred in the 6700 block of Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie. The victims were forcefully removed from their 2021 Subaru sedan and robbed and assaulted by two black males. The two suspects fled in the victim's sedan in an unknown direction. Both victims were transported to an area hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Northern District detectives responded to the scene and assumed the investigation. Detectives were able to locate the victim's vehicle a short time later in the 7900 block of Crain Highway in Glen Burnie. As officers made contact with the occupants of the vehicle, both suspects fled from the vehicle on foot. Despite an extensive search, neither suspect was located. This is an ongoing investigation. On March 19, 2023, at approximately 8:30 a.m., officers responded to Harbour Hospital, 3001 South Hanover Street in Baltimore, for a walk-in stabbing victim. Hospital staff were only able to provide vague information, which was relayed to them by the victim. The victim claimed that they were stabbed in a stairwell in a building in the 6000 block of Belle Grove Road in Brooklyn. While officers were responding to the hospital, the victim was transferred to a nearby trauma center for treatment of what was described as a non-life-threatening wound. Road Rage/Weapons Offense - Pasadena

On March 18, 2023, at approximately 9:45 a.m., officers responded for a subject armed with a gun at the Tower Federal Credit Union, 8146 Ritchie Highway in Pasadena. The 65-year-old victim indicated that she was involved in a road rage incident, and the driver of the other vehicle pointed a handgun at her. The victim stated that after the incident, the suspect pulled into the credit union parking lot and was last seen operating a blue Nissan pickup. Officers responded to the bank and located the suspect vehicle in the drive-thru, and detained the suspect. The victim positively identified the suspect as the person who pointed the handgun at her. During a search of the suspect’s vehicle, officers located a loaded semi-automatic handgun. The suspect was arrested and charged accordingly.

On March 19, 2023, at approximately 2:00 p.m., officers responded for a report of a shooting that just occurred in the 8000 block of Winding Wood Road in Glen Burnie. Upon arrival, officers located the juvenile victim, who was suffering from gunshot wound/s. The victim was alert and conscious and was only able to provide minimal investigative information. The initial investigation revealed that the victim was shot after an unknown altercation occurred with at least two suspects. The suspects fled the area prior to the officers' arrival. The victim was transported to a nearby trauma center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. This is an active investigation. Weapons Offense - Laurel

On March 18, 2023, at approximately 12:15 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 3300 block of Laurel Ft. Meade Road in Laurel. During a consent search of the vehicle, officers located a loaded semi-automatic handgun in the passenger compartment. During the course of their investigation, officers learned that the driver was prohibited from possessing a firearm, and the firearm located by officers was reported stolen in 2017. The driver was arrested and charged accordingly.

On March 18, 2023, at approximately 12:30 a.m., officers responded for a report of shots being heard in the 8200 block of Averill Court in Severn. Upon their arrival, officers observed what appeared to be damage from the shooting at two residences and affecting three parked vehicles. Officers located numerous spent 9mm shell casings. There were no physical injuries reported as a result of the shooting. Shooting (Non-contact) - Annapolis

On March 18, 2023, at approximately 1:40 p.m., officers responded for a report of a shooting that just occurred in the 2000 block of West Street in Annapolis. The victims pulled in alongside a pump to get gas, and the adult male front-seat passenger went inside to pay. While the male was inside the business, the driver of the vehicle noticed several males get out of a white van parked on the other side of the pump. One of the males, whom the victim described as a Hispanic male, approached the driver and asked if she was using the pump. Another Hispanic male, wearing a white t-shirt, was staring at her. A third male, possibly a juvenile, made an obscene gesture toward her. When the male passenger of the first vehicle returned, he confronted the suspects, one of whom produced a black handgun and fired two gunshots at him. All three suspects got back into the white van and fled. The victim, who was uninjured, got into their vehicle and responded to the Annapolis Police Station to report the incident. Suspect: Hispanic male, 17-20 years old, thin build, wearing a dark-colored baseball cap, white t-shirt, dark-colored pants, white athletic shoes, armed with a black handgun.
