Homicide - Hanover

On January 25, 2023, at approximately 9:00 p.m. officers responded for a report of a shooting that just occurred in the Ridgeview Plaza Shopping Center in the 2600 block of Annapolis Road in Hanover. When officers arrived they located the victim, 26-year-old Markus Nocho of Odenton, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to the R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore where he was pronounced deceased. CID Homicide detectives responded and assumed the investigation. UPDATE: (January 27, 2023)
Through investigative means, homicide detectives identified Alexander Williams as the suspect in this case. Williams has been arrested and charged. Robbery (Attempt) - Glen Burnie

On January 25, 2023, at approximately 5:00 p.m., officers responded for a report of an attempted robbery that just occurred at the Wells Fargo Bank, 6708 Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie. During their investigation, officers learned that a female suspect entered the bank and approached the teller. The suspect slid a note across the counter, directing the teller to give her money and not to sound the alarm. As the teller was complying with the suspect's demands, the suspect asked for the note back and walked out of the bank without receiving any money from the teller.
Suspect: Black female, last seen wearing a blonde wig, denim hat, and jacket, black “Champion” t-shirt, black pants, a yellow surgical mask, carrying an off-white purse.

1st Degree Assault - Glen Burnie

On January 25, 2023, at approximately 5:00 p.m., officers responded for a report of shoplifting and assault that just occurred at the Roses, 7387 Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard in Glen Burnie. During their investigation, officers learned that a suspect was attempting to shoplift items from the store. An employee confronted the suspect, who grabbed them around the neck with both hands and strangled them. A second employee came to the aid of the victim and prevented any further assault. The suspect fled on foot prior to the officers' arrival.
