Weapons Offense - Glen Burnie

On January 17, 2023, at approximately 9:00 p.m., officers responded for a subject with a gun in the 200 block of Woodhill Drive in Glen Burnie. As officers converged on the area, they observed a vehicle matching the description provided by the caller. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle in the area of Aquahart Road and made contact with the driver. During their investigation, officers conducted a search of the vehicle and located a loaded semi-automatic handgun, a digital scale, several bags of suspected marijuana, a bag of suspected marijuana edibles, and pills of suspected MDMA. The driver was arrested and charged accordingly.

Shooting (Non-contact) - Severn

On January 17, 2023, at approximately 11:30 a.m., officers responded for a report of a shooting that occurred earlier in the 1800 block of Montreal Road in Severn. The victim advised that on January 16, 2023, between 10:30 and 11:00 p.m., they heard a “loud boom” outside. When the victim awoke the next morning, they discovered several bullet holes in the siding and garage doors of their residence. Upon further inspection, the victim realized that one of the projectiles traveled through the garage door, through the living room wall, and lodged into their television. The victim’s vehicle, which was parked in the garage, was also struck. Video footage obtained from the residence showed an unknown type black sedan slowing down and firing multiple rounds at the residence. On January 18, 2023, at approximately 5:50 a.m., officers responded for gunshots fired in the 1800 block of Sparrow Court in Severn. The homeowner stated she heard gunshots outside her home and noticed four bullet holes in the home's front window. A canvass was conducted, and officers located several shell casings in the street in front of the residence. On January 18, 2023, at approximately 1:20 a.m., officers responded for a report of gunshots fired in the 7000 block of Arundel Mills Circle in Hanover. A witness heard shots coming from a dark-colored sedan on Arundel Way. The vehicle made a U-turn and turned right onto Arundel Mills Boulevard when she saw and heard more gunshots coming from the same vehicle driving toward Route 295. There were no injuries reported or property damage discovered. One shell casing was located on Arundel Way. Warrant Service - Annapolis

On January 17, 2023, at approximately 10:00 a.m., members of the Southern District Tactical Narcotics Team, with the assistance of the Southern District Tactical Patrol Unit, Northern District Tactical Narcotics Team, Northern District Tactical Patrol Unit, and the Special Operations Section Quick Response Team executed search and seizure warrants at three locations in the county. Two were served at residences in the 1000 block of Spa Road and the unit block of Hearthstone Court in Annapolis. The third was executed at a business in the 100 block of Defense Highway in Annapolis. The search warrants were executed after a three-month-long investigation into drug distribution in Annapolis.
As a result of the search warrants from all three locations, detectives recovered approximately 158g of suspected cocaine (estimated street value: $15,820), three digital scales, and $2,430 in US currency. The suspect was arrested and charged accordingly.
