On December 21, 2022, at approximately 10:30 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a moving violation in the area of Governor Ritchie Highway and Holsum Way in Glen Burnie. During their investigation, officers learned that the driver had two outstanding warrants for his arrest. Subsequent to the driver's arrest and during a search of the vehicle, officers located a loaded black semi-automatic handgun and unloaded shotgun inside the passenger compartment. Officers later learned that the driver was prohibited from possessing a firearm. The driver was charged accordingly.

Robbery (Citizen) - Jessup

On December 21, 2022, at approximately 6:30 p.m., officers responded for a report of a robbery that just occurred in the 2300 block of Terrapin Crossing in Jessup. The victim stated that he listed an iPad for sale on Facebook Marketplace and made contact with the suspect. When the suspect arrived at the victim's residence to purchase the iPad, he produced a handgun, struck the victim in the face with said handgun, and took the iPad before fleeing. The victim stated that the suspect arrived in a gray Kia Optima sedan being driven by an unknown accomplice. The victim suffered minor injuries. Suspect: black male, tall, thin build, last seen wearing a hooded sweatshirt, black athletic pants with a white stripe down the side, and a light-colored facemask.
