Shooting (Contact/Potentially Accidental) - Pasadena

On December 16, 2022, at approximately 1:45 a.m., officers responded to Saint Agnes Hospital in Baltimore for a shooting victim that walked into the emergency room. The victim told the first responding officer that he and some of his friends were outside a residence in the 3600 block of Robin Air Court in Pasadena when he accidentally shot himself in the foot with a .22 caliber rifle. The address was checked by the officers with negative results. No crime scene was located, the rifle was not recovered, and no eyewitnesses were found. The victim told a second officer a different account of what had occurred and provided an alternative address in Baltimore County. When officers confronted the victim about the conflicting accounts, he became uncooperative and would not provide any additional information. Weapon/CDS Violation / Annapolis Middle School

On December 15, 2022, at approximately 12:00 p.m., the SRO at Annapolis Middle School was advised that a student was seen with a BB gun walking to the school. The student was located on school grounds and was found to have an unloaded BB gun and a civil amount of marijuana in his backpack. There are no indications that any threats were made by the student. The student was charged accordingly.

Fatal Crash - Glen Burnie

On December 15, 2022, at approximately 7:30 p.m., officers responded to westbound Route 100 at southbound I-97 for a crash involving multiple vehicles. The investigation revealed a 2002 Honda Accord EX was traveling westbound on Route 100 near the I-97 overpass. For unknown reasons, the driver lost control of the vehicle and struck a concrete traffic barrier. A 2005 Toyota Corolla swerved to avoid striking the Honda Accord and struck a concrete traffic barrier on the opposite side of the roadway. A 2018 Ford F-150 pickup truck and an unknown vehicle slowed to a stop in both travel lanes to block traffic. The front seat passenger of the unknown vehicle exited the vehicle to render aid to the driver of the Honda Accord. A Honda Civic traveling westbound approaching the crash scene struck the rear of the Ford and swerved around it on the left shoulder. The Honda Civic continued westbound and then struck the Honda Accord. The pedestrian, who was standing outside of the Honda Accord, was struck by the Honda Civic. The driver of the Honda Accord was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the Toyota Corolla, the pedestrian, and the driver of the Honda Civic were transported to Baltimore Washington Medical center by Anne Arundel County Fire Department paramedics with minor injuries.

This crash is under investigation by the Traffic Safety Section.
