Northern District
Shooting (Contact) - Glen Burnie

On November 16, 2022, just before midnight, officers responded for a report of a fight at Sidelines Sports Bar & Grill, 105 Chesapeake Center Court in Glen Burnie. Upon arrival, officers learned that a physical altercation had occurred inside the establishment between two patrons. During the altercation, one of the suspects (the shooting victim) produced a folding knife and held it by his side. A witness separated the patrons, allowing one of them (the shooting suspect) to exit the bar. As the witness attempted to escort the shooting victim from the bar, the shooting suspect returned to the entrance of the bar with a black handgun and continued to argue. The shooting suspect was able to re-enter the bar as the witness escorted the victim to his vehicle. While at his vehicle, the suspect exited the bar, continuing to argue and wield the handgun. The suspect ultimately fired several rounds in the direction of the victim before the victim was able to flee in his vehicle. When officers arrived, both the victim and suspect were no longer on location. As officers were conducting their investigation at the bar, the victim arrived at an area hospital with a gunshot wound. The suspect was described as a black male driving a white Toyota Camry. Eastern District
Weapons Offense - Pasadena

On November 16, 2022, at approximately 9:30 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for an equipment violation in the area of Duvall Highway and Notley Road in Pasadena. During a consent search, officers found a loaded black semi-automatic handgun on the passenger. Further inquiry revealed that the passenger was prohibited from possessing a firearm. The passenger was arrested and charged accordingly.

Western District
Negligent Discharge of Firearm (Arrest Update) - Hanover

On October 1, 2022, at approximately 3:30 p.m., officers responded for a report of shots being fired in the food court area of the Arundel Mills Mall, 7000 Arundel Mills Circle in Hanover. Officers were able to quickly locate and isolate the area where the shot occurred. Officers were able to determine that the suspect had fled the area alongside the other mall patrons who were fleeing the scene. During the investigation, officers learned that the suspect appeared to be adjusting his pants when the firearm he was concealing discharged into the floor. There were no injuries reported that were from the actual projectile fired. Suspect: Black male, dark complexion, medium build, black hair, black cargo type pants, black shirt, tan jacket, black sneakers/white soles, possibly armed with a black, semi-automatic handgun

Update (November 17, 2022):

On November 11, 2022, detectives were able to positively identify the suspect in this case as Brandon Maurice Carroll, a 26-year-old from Laurel, Maryland. Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Carroll that day, and on November 16, 2022, Carroll was located and taken into custody without incident.
