Weapons Violation - Brooklyn

On November 2, 2022, at approximately 11:35 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a registration violation in the area of Ritchie Highway and Cherry Lane in Brooklyn. During their investigation, officers learned that the registration on the vehicle was suspended. During the subsequent search of the vehicle, officers recovered approximately 46g of suspected marijuana and a loaded black, semi-automatic handgun. Further inquiry revealed that the handgun was reported stolen in 2021, and both the driver and passenger in the vehicle were prohibited from possessing a firearm. The driver and passenger were arrested and charged accordingly.

Recovered Stolen Auto - Glen Burnie

On November 3, 2022, at approximately 5:30 a.m., officers responded for a report of a reckless speeding vehicle in the area of Whitaker Road and Shirley Murphy Court in Glen Burnie. The description of the vehicle in question matched the description of a vehicle that was reported stolen earlier in the 200 block of Southbridge Drive in Glen Burnie. Officers located the vehicle in the 7600 block of Levy Court and made contact with the male driver. The vehicle was determined to be the stolen vehicle from Southbridge Drive. The physical and clothing description matched the suspect's description from the stolen vehicle report on Southbridge Drive. The driver was identified as a 16-year-old male; he was arrested and charged accordingly.
