Suspicious Person - Severna Park

On October 27, 2022, a concerned parent reported that a suspicious subject driving a silver sedan was attempting to approach minors before and after school in the local communities (Shipley Choice, Chartwell, and Rustling Oaks) surrounding Severna Park Middle School. The parent is a part of an online community group who has reported that the same suspected male has attempted to lure students to his vehicle. The suspect was described as a black male, tall, skinny, in his early 20's, with short hair. The vehicle is described as an older model, silver or light gray in color, four-door sedan with possible paint chipping.

CDS Offense - Laurel

On October 27, 2022, at approximately 11:00 a.m., officers were conducting a business check at the Travelodge, 3380 Laurel Fort Meade Road in Laurel, when they located a vehicle displaying a tag that had been reported stolen. Officers approached the vehicle, which was occupied, and were met by the distinct odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. Upon further investigation, officers learned that the occupant of the vehicle had an outstanding arrest warrant. During a subsequent search of the vehicle, officers found approximately 121g of suspected marijuana, prescription pills, and a digital scale. The occupant was arrested and charged accordingly.

Motor Vehicle Collision / CDS Offense - Pasadena

On October 28, 2022, at approximately 1:15 a.m., officers responded for a report of a single-vehicle collision in the area of Mountain Road and Outing Avenue in Pasadena. As officers arrived, they observed one of the occupants attempting to conceal quantities of prescription pills and other CDS, officers detained both occupants of the vehicle and conducted an investigation. During a search of the vehicle, officers located approximately 324 pills, gel caps, and tablets of various prescription drugs as well as suspected heroin/fentanyl, two digital scales, and $576 in US Currency. Both the driver and passenger were arrested and charged accordingly.

Attempt Burglary/Recovered Stolen Vehicle - Glen Burnie

On October 28, 2022, at approximately 1:45 a.m., officers responded for a report of tampering with an auto in the 300 block of Gatewater Court in Glen Burnie. As officers arrived in the area, they observed two suspects attempting to jumpstart a vehicle. When the suspects observed the officers, they immediately fled. Officers were able to apprehend one suspect after an exhaustive search officers were unable to locate the second suspect.
During the investigation, officers learned that the suspects arrived at the location in a stolen vehicle (the one they were attempting to jump-start) and had been attempting to break into the maintenance sheds for the Gatewater Landing apartment complex. Check Subject/Burglary - Laurel

On October 28, 2022, at approximately 3:00 a.m. officers were conducting periodic checks on churches in the area of Brock Bridge Road due to burglaries that occurred in surrounding areas earlier in the evening. Officers observed a subject who appeared to be casing the Maryland City Baptist Church at 326 Brock Bridge Road in Laurel. Officers recognized the subject as the same juvenile who was arrested earlier in the evening for burglary. When the officer attempted to confront the subject he fled on foot. The subject was located a time later, hiding behind a vehicle, attempting to conceal a backpack that he was wearing. Officers noticed that the backpack was open observed several powertools inside. Upon further investigation officers found that at least one of the powertools were stolen during a burglary in September 2022. The juvenile was arrested and charged accordingly.
