On October 19, 2022, at approximately 2:30 a.m., officers responded for a report of suspects tampering with an automobile in the 200 block of Zeppelin Avenue in Brooklyn. When the first officer arrived, one suspect immediately fled on foot and was quickly apprehended. The remaining suspects ran to a vehicle and made an attempt to flee. As officers converged on the vehicle, the driver intentionally drove through a yard to get away. As the suspect vehicle drove out of the neighborhood, it struck a parked trailer, becoming disabled, and the two suspects fled from the vehicle. The passenger was quickly apprehended, and the driver was able to elude officers. During their investigation, officers discovered that the vehicle used by the suspects was reported stolen from a neighboring jurisdiction. Two of the three suspects were arrested and charged accordingly. The Criminal Investigative Division Auto Theft Squad is investigating the incident and asks that anyone with information contact them at 410-222-4734 or the Anne Arundel County Police Tip Line at 410-222-4700.
