Northern District
Attempt Robbery (Citizen) - Glen Burnie

On October 12, 2022, at approximately 6:00 a.m. officers responded for a report of an assault/robbery that occurred approximately 3 hours earlier in the area of Harris Heights Avenue and Allen Road in Glen Burnie.  The victim stated that he was walking in the vicinity of the above location and was confronted by what he believed to be at least (7) suspects. The suspects demanded the victim’s property and when the victim refused the suspects proceeded to punch and kick the victim all over his body. During the assault, one of the suspects displayed a knife. The victim reported that he lost consciousness at some point and the suspects fled the scene. When the victim awoke he found that none of his property was taken. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Suspects: 7 males, wearing all dark clothing and face masks.

Assault (Shooting) - Severn

Update

On April 3, 2022, at approximately 9:00 p.m., officers responded to the area of the 8200 block of Marlton Court in Severn for a report of a shooting. A group of people arrived home and began getting out of their car when gunshots were fired toward them. The rounds did not strike anyone; however, several vehicles and residences were damaged by projectiles. Witnesses reported seeing four male suspects fleeing into the woods at the end of Marlton Court. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspects. Several spent shell casings were collected as evidence. Western District detectives are investigating and ask anyone with information to contact 410-222-6155 or the Tip Line at 410-222-4700. 

Update October 10, 2022:

Through a lengthy investigation, detectives identified and charged the suspect with the above incident.

Cutting - Glen Burnie

On October 12, 2022, at approximately 1:15 p.m. officers responded to a fight between students at Glen Burnie High School. During the fight, one student produced a small pocket knife and cut the other student on the upper body. The student with the knife was arrested and charged by the School Resource Officer on location. The other student suffered minor injuries. There is no further information at this time.
