On September 8, 2022, at approximately 6:00 p.m., officers responded for a report of an assault at the Family Dollar located at 5009 Ritchie Highway in Brooklyn. Officers learned that the 27-year-old victim and the suspect were engaged in a verbal argument that escalated into a physical fight. During the fight, the suspect produced a knife and swung it at the victim. The victim attempted to flee, and the suspect chased after him with the knife. The victim was able to flee without being cut or stabbed by the suspect. The suspect, a 17-year-old male, was located at the scene and arrested and charged.

Robbery - Glen Burnie

On September 9, 2022, at approximately 12:55 a.m., officers responded for a robbery at the Checkers restaurant located at 1417 Crain Highway in Glen Burnies. An unknown male suspect entered the store, displayed a handgun, and ordered the employees to open the safe. The employees complied, and the suspect fled with an undetermined amount of cash. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident.
