Weapons Offense - Glen Burnie

On May 22, 2022, at approximately 9:20 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 5300 block of Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie. During the course of the stop, it was determined that the driver was in possession of a handgun. Further investigation revealed the driver was concealing two loaded handguns on his person without the required concealed carry permits. The driver was arrested and charged accordingly.

Robbery - Glen Burnie

On May 22, 2022, at approximately 12:45 p.m., officers responded for a report of a robbery in the 1000 block of Cayer Drive in Glen Burnie. The victim was in the common laundry room of the building when three black males entered the laundry room brandishing firearms. One suspect went through the victim’s pockets and took his keys to his apartment and vehicle. Two of the suspects left the laundry room and entered the victim’s unlocked apartment. The suspects took shoes, U.S. currency, and the victim's vehicle, a black 2016 Audi Q3. The victim believed the suspects arrived in a silver Honda sedan with unknown Virginia registration. Assault - Glen Burnie

On May 23, 2022, at approximately 12:30 a.m. officers responded for an assault in the 800 block of Crain Highway in Glen Burnie. The suspect, armed with a baseball bat, forced his way into the residence and began destroying property before striking the victim with the bat. The suspect was known to the victim and fled the residence on foot prior to the officers' arrival. The suspect was subsequently located by officers, arrested, and charged accordingly.

On May 21, 2022, at approximately 11:30 p.m., officers located a subject lying on the ground beside a motorcycle in the parking lot of 495 Old Mill Road in Millersville. He had an active arrest warrant and was taken into custody. The suspect was found to be in possession of approximately 22.17 grams of suspected Cocaine, approximately 13.85 grams of suspected Crack Cocaine, 6 gel capsules, 34 suspected Clonazepam pills, approximately 26.47 grams of suspected Phencyclidine, and manufacturing paraphernalia. The suspect was charged accordingly.

Assault on Police - Hanover

On May 21, 2022, at approximately 7:00 p.m., officers responded for a report of reckless speeding vehicles at the Walmart at 7081 Arundel Mills Circle in Hanover. While officers were attempting to disperse the crowd, one vehicle intentionally drove toward and nearly struck several officers, and, while fleeing through the parking lot, ultimately crashed into an occupied police vehicle. The suspect and officer were transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect was charged accordingly.

On May 21, 2022, at approximately 10:00 p.m., officers responded for a report of a robbery at the Lucky's Convenience Market located at 8290 Portsmouth Drive in Severn. Two African American male suspects (1 armed with a shotgun and the other with a handgun) entered the business and announced a robbery. They took U.S. currency and fled the scene in an unknown direction. The clerk stated that one of the suspects had fired a shot inside the business. No one was injured. One unspent 9mm round was found on the scene. Assault - Edgewater

On May 22, 2022, at approximately 3:30 p.m., officers met with two victims regarding two assaults that occurred on earlier dates. An adult female victim reported that a male acquaintance pointed an AR-15 assault rifle at her while at the acquaintance’s residence in the 1500 block of Mayfield Road in Edgewater on April 8, 2022. A second adult female victim reported she was at the suspect’s residence on May 19, 2022, when the suspect pointed a handgun at her. Reportedly the suspect made threatening statements during these assaults. No rounds were fired during either incident, and no physical injuries were reported. The investigation resulted in the execution of a search warrant at the suspect’s residence resulting in the seizure of an AR-15 .223 rifle, an 870 Remington 12 gauge shotgun, a 9mm Polymer 80 handgun, 1,840 .223 rounds, 1,560 .308 rounds, and 650 9mm rounds. The suspect was taken into custody and charged accordingly.
