Citizen Robbery - Glen Burnie

On April 24, 2022, at approximately 10:00 p.m. officers responded to the area of Saunders Way and Gatwick Road in Glen Burnie for a report of a robbery. The adult male victim was walking near the B & A Bike Trail when he was approached by two males. One of the males displayed a knife and demanded money and property from the victim. The victim complied, and the suspects fled toward Marley Station Mall. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspects. CDS Violation - Brooklyn Park

On April 24, 2022, at approximately 10:40 p.m., an officer stopped a gray 2008 Chevrolet on Church Street and Ballman Avenue in Brooklyn Park for a traffic violation. During the stop, the officer located and seized approximately 17.84 grams of suspected crack cocaine, approximately 8 grams of suspected marijuana, approximately 9.93 grams of an unknown substance and packaging material. The driver was arrested and charged accordingly.

Fatal Traffic Crash - Arnold

On April 22, 2022, at approximately 1:40 p.m., officers responded to the intersection of College Parkway and Bellerive Drive for a crash involving an SUV and a pickup truck. The investigation revealed that a 2000 Izuzu Rodeo was traveling eastbound on College Parkway, approaching the intersection at Bellerive Drive. The driver of the Izuzu crossed the center lines into westbound traffic and struck a 2006 Ford F-250 pickup truck head-on. The driver of the Izuzu was pronounced deceased at the scene by Anne Arundel County Fire Department paramedics. The Traffic Safety Section is investigating this crash.

On April 23, 2022, at approximately 8:30 p.m., officers responded to Capitol Raceway in Gambrills for a double shooting. Upon arrival, officers learned that an adult male and an adult female had been shot. Both victims were transported to an area trauma center and are expected to survive their injuries. There was a large-scale event on location, yet detectives are unable to locate any witnesses. Weapon Violation / Odenton

On April 24, 2022, at approximately 11 p.m., officers made a traffic stop on a vehicle whose registration plate did not belong on the car, in the area of Annapolis Road and Blue Water Boulevard. Upon approaching the vehicle, officers gained probable cause for a search of the car. During the search, they recovered marijuana and a 9mm ghost gun. The driver was charged accordingly.

On April 22, 2022, at approximately 4:30 p.m., officers responded to the area of Berkley Court and Sands Road for shots heard in the area. When officers arrived, they located an 18-year-old victim who advised he was riding his dirtbike when a dark-colored sedan pulled in front of him causing him to stop. The rear passenger of the vehicle got out and began shooting at him. The victim fled on foot and the dirtbike was stolen by the suspects. Detectives located evidence of a shooting on the scene. Commercial Robbery / Annapolis

On April 22, 2022, at approximately 7:30 p.m., officers responded to the Macy’s at the Annapolis Mall in reference to an armed robbery. According to several store employees, two black males and two black females entered the store and began to select several boxes of perfume from the women’s fragrance counter. They concealed the items in bags. One of the store employees approached the group and asked them what they were doing. At that point, one of the male suspects displayed a pistol in his waistband. The suspects then fled in a black Infiniti SUV. Approximately $2500 worth of merchandise was stolen. A canvass was conducted, but the suspects/vehicle were not located.
