Robbery - Laurel

On March 13, 2022, at approximately 12:25 p.m. officers responded to the Horizon Square Apartments located at 3563 Laurel Fort Meade Road in Laurel for a robbery. The adult male victim got into the elevator on the first floor and was approached by an unknown male suspect who pointed a handgun at him and demanded his wallet and keys. The suspect then fled the building in an unknown direction. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect. Western District Detectives are investigating and ask anyone with information to contact 410-222-6155 or the Tip Line at 410-222-4700.

Shooting - Glen Burnie

On March 13, 2022, at approximately 5:30 p.m. officers responded to the 300 block of 9th Avenue SE for a shooting that just occurred. The 14-year-old victim was in a shed on the property with a known subject and an unknown subject. According to the victim, the unknown subject racked a firearm and shot him in the lower body. The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Northern District Detectives are investigating and asking anyone with any information to call 410-222-6135 or the TipLine at 410-222-4700.

Attempted Carjacking - Glen Burnie

On March 11, 2022, at approximately 5:00 p.m. officers responded to 6619 Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie for an attempted carjacking. The adult female victim was seated in her vehicle when she was approached by an unknown male who told her to get out of her car. The victim screamed and the suspect threatened to shoot her. The male fled as other vehicles approached. The victim did not observe a handgun during the incident and did not report any injuries. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect.

Suspect: Black male, 5’10”- 6’0”, heavyset, wearing a black jacket and black jeans

Possession with Intent to Distribute - Glen Burnie

On March 12, 2022, at approximately 1:00 a.m. officers initiated a traffic stop in the area of Ritchie Highway and West Ordnance Road in Glen Burnie. Investigation revealed the occupants had the following: 12 capsules of suspected Heroin/Fentanyl mix, 54 pills of suspected Xanax/Alprazolam, 12 pills of suspected Adderall, 92.25 grams of suspected marijuana, and 1 Suboxone strip. The occupants of the vehicle were charged accordingly.
