On March 10, 2022, at approximately 9:40 a.m. an officer conducted a traffic stop of a black Toyota Prius in the area of Belle Grove Road and Pebble Drive in Brooklyn Park. Upon approaching the vehicle the officer noticed the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. A search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of a small amount of marijuana and a 9mm handgun from a backpack on the front passenger’s floorboard. The front seat passenger was arrested and charged accordingly.

Robbery - Laurel

On March 10, 2022, at approximately 7:50 p.m. officers responded for a report of a robbery in the 3300 block of Laurel Fort Meade Road in Laurel. The adult male victim was walking through the parking lot of the business when he was struck from behind by two Black male suspects wearing dark clothing. The suspects took an unknown amount of cash from the victim before fleeing. The victim did not report any injuries. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate any suspects. On March 10, 2022, at approximately 3:15 p.m. an officer conducted a traffic stop of a white 2018 Audi in the area of laurel Fort Meade Road and Russett Green West in Laurel. A probable cause search was conducted resulting in the seizure of a small amount of marijuana and a loaded 9mm Polymer 80 handgun. The driver was arrested and charged accordingly.
