On January 27, 2022, at approximately 6:30 p.m., officers responded to the Metro PCS located at 3533 Laurel-Fort Meade Road for a hold-up alarm. When officers arrived, they learned that a suspect entered the business, forced an employee to a back room by gunpoint, and demanded currency/products belonging to the business. The suspect fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of both. No injuries were reported, and Robbery Unit detectives are investigating. A thin build, light-skinned black male approximately 5-10 to 6 feet tall.

Burglary Arrest / Hanover

On January 27, 2022, officers responded to Artwell's Body Art in Hanover for a burglary. A suspect smashed a glass display case and stole approximately $42,000.00 worth of merchandise. A suspect matching the description was seen by detectives leaving the scene in a taxi. The cab was stopped and the passenger inside the vehicle was positively identified as the suspect. The suspect was arrested and the merchandise was recovered.
